- Billable weight
- Carriers charge for the actual weight or the box’s dimensional weight, whichever is higher. Dimensional weight is length × width × height in inches, divided by 139 or 166 depending on the carrier, rounded up to the next pound.
- Distance
- Prices step up by zone, from the same city to coast to coast. The territories cost the most to reach.
- Homes and businesses
- Purolator, UPS and FedEx add a charge for delivery to a home. UniUni charges the same for both.
- Rural postal codes
- A zero as the second character, like K0A, marks a rural area. Those deliveries carry an extra charge, and UniUni doesn’t serve them.
- Fuel and tax
- Fuel surcharges are already in every price. GST, HST or QST is added at checkout, based on the province the parcel ships from.
