How does connecting work?
You approve ProtonShip in your Shopify admin, the same way you'd approve any app. You can disconnect the store from ProtonShip at any time, and remove the app in Shopify too.
Where do the parcel weights come from?
From the shipping weights on your products in Shopify. When you pick a saved box, its size is used and its packing weight is added to the order's weight.
Does Shopify email my customer?
Yes. When a label is bought for an order, the carrier, tracking number and a tracking link are added to the order as a fulfillment, and Shopify sends its usual shipping confirmation.
What about orders shipping outside Canada?
ProtonShip ships within Canada, so those orders can't be labelled here. They stay open in Shopify for you to ship another way.
Can I still buy single labels?
Yes. Single labels, bulk spreadsheet uploads and Shopify orders all live in the same account and the same shipment history.
